GS: What is your tag name and why did you choose it?
ewilone: My tag name is "ewilone". At first i´ve chosen to write evilone cuz graff writerz were considered as the evil vandals distorting the "nice grey concrete society" with their tags and bombings. later when i started to graff pieces and productions i´ve changed the V letter for W kind of version 2 and also as a symbol of the mirrored image to society which i think graffiti is. Ya´ll know the statement - every society gets the type of art it deserves.
GS: How and why did you get into street art(graffiti)?
ewilone: Graffiti meant freedom to me. This feeling of freedom has attracted me from the beginning. If you´re a teenager and everyone from your surrounding has some expectations freedom is what you´re gonna search for and i found my in painting walls. And how i got into it - i picked up a can from my fathers cellar and the journey began :)
GS: How would you describe your style?
ewilone: Now this is a question which is always too hard for me to answer since i´m changing my style every now and than. Probably the best word to describe it would be all style cuz i like them all and right now I'm kind of puzzling the pieces from different styled letters. I´ve always tried to perform different styles cuz i love to paint productions with different writers and if you´re painting for example a production with 5 guys who paint 3D style than it looks better to paint a 3D too instead to be the only old school piece or whatever other style in the production. But it´s not a rule or something, sometimes i just like to match my surrounding that's all. See but for me it always was important not to repeat myself, so when i feel that i´ve done this shapes already several times i usually change the whole style for the next piece.

GS: Where did you begin making art in the streets and how old were you?
ewilone: I began in my home-town which by that time was Banska Bystrica. It´s a small city in the centre of Slovakia. It was i think 96 so i was like 15 years old and didn´t know shit about graffiti :) by that time even the police didn´t know what that is and how to deal with it so it was a great time and place where to start.
GS: What crew(s) are you in?
ewilone: Currently i´m down with poin3 crew, which are my homeboy Primal and homegirl Seph and also the Fruits of Doom syndicate, which is like 40 writers from all over Europe. The fruits is exactly what i love about graffiti so much. You can go any place in the world, if you´re graffin´ you´ll always find brothers and sisters on any place on this planet.

GS: How did you develop such good technical painting and drawing skills?
ewilone: I wouldn´t say i´m at that level yet. There are no limits in the graffiti lettering and also the can has many ways of how it can be used so i´m trying to improve my skills by trying out new things. The only way how to improve is to try and try and if you try long enough you´ll find out that you can always do better. I´ve improved my cancontroll skills by painting smaller walls and focused on details a bit but when i saw for example Smug and his cancontrol or Sofles in action daaaamn I´m not even halfway of their skill level. Not yet.
GS: what do you think is the most difficult thing in graffiti?
ewilone: The most difficult thing in graffiti is to maintain it´s purpose, which is to connect people. Young kats are always arguing about styles, who´s toy who´s not, bitching about what style is graffiti what isn´t, if on canvas in gallery or in the streets... Who gives a fuck in which form you graff i graff that makes us brothers and you´re always welcome at my door. A lot of fellas don´t think this way nowdays it almost became like sport, where all these writers are competing. But for what? What is the purpose to be the king if you don´t have friends. Every king in history was replaced by a new one but none of friends can be replaced. This is what the most difficult thing about graffiti is. To admit that graffiti is more than You.
GS: What are some of the writers who have inspired you?
ewilone: Each writer on this planet is an inspiration. Some have inspiring knowledge, some skills, some techniques, some styles, some even the whole lifestory. Inspiration can be found in each ones work, behaviour or personality. I´ve talked to some of the biggest names in this game and realised that they are really modest, saw toys so willing to learn and write that thy earned their names in less than a year, even writers in countries where no one drew a line before, or writers taking huge risks to do the bombing which leaves your mind stunned like how the fuck did they get there. So basically every writer I´ve met, talked to, or saw his work, was inspiring in some kind of way.

GS: How do you pick your locations ?
ewilone: Now i´m searching for places where nobody would ever go. I like abandoned places a lot, or places which seem to be like on the end of the world like small villages. You don´t need a permission there and nobody cares, cuz the only ones who´re gonna see it are bunnies and rats from the fields :) if you don´t care about fame at all, these spots are best for graffiti. To me graffiti is like meditation where i can free my mind so that´s why i search for quiet and distant places. On the other hand i like to paint at graffiti festivals and such too, cuz there you can meet writers from all around the globe and soak in ispiration and knowledge.
GS: What tools do you use ? Only spray paint?
ewilone: When I paint on walls i only use cans /well and maybe roller for the background :) / when i work on canvas i use everything that can be used - cans, markers, paint, glue, various stuff,... basicly whatever

GS: Do you pre plan your murals, or make it up as you go along?
ewilone: I never prepare a sketch. I'm sketching a lot, almost daily, but i never use the sketch by the wall. Each wall is different and desires a different composition and to measure and sketch it out exactly how it´s gonna be is a waste of time. What is the purpose of painting the same shit twice? If you do it on paper why would you do it on a wall again? You did it once and that´s it, no need to run the same track again. I see it like you would go by car from city A to city B than go back and walk the same track by feet. Does it make any sense?
GS: Would you like to share some tips and tricks?
ewilone: I ain´t got tips or tricks to share. I'm not a teacher or a magician ;) Meet me at a spot and i can shear the spot and cans so we both have a great day, but i got nothing more to advice. Friendship is all i have to share with writers.
GS: Any unforgettable story that you would like to share with us?
ewilone: The moment, when you first pick up a can and paint your first tag, is the first line in an unforgettable story. It´s up to you and your decisions how long and what genre the story´s going to be.

GS: Have you collaborated with any artists recently? Who and what work has come out of it?
ewilone: I almost always collaborate with someone so if you´ve got nothing aginst it, i won´t pick one, cuz i had fun with all of them. And what came out can be found on the internet, but that doesn´t really matter. What really matters are the moments at the wall spend with friends.
GS: Any message to other artists?
ewilone: Do what you do and support eachother. The more of us is out there, the more powerfull the movement gets. :)
