Meet the amazing graffiti artist from Germany, Slider.

GS: How old are you and where are you from?

Slider: I'm 37 from Dresden City/Germany

GS: What is your tag name and why did you choose it?
Slider: My Tagname is SLIDE or SLIDER and I read it in the Word "SlideShow" and I like it.
Can´t remember why. But I choose and keep it.

GS: How and why did you get into street art (graffiti)?
Slider: Over a friend, he was one of the first Graffiti Writers in my Hometown, an  real Oldschool style artist.
I met him because of other things and he told me about his graffiti in the past and I was wondered if he would go painting with me, so we did the first wall together and so on. We formed the IAC-Bandits in the same moment.

GS: Where did you begin making art in the streets and how old were you?
Slider: It was around 93/94 and I was about 17 these days.

GS: Which other artists influenced your style and did you try to emulate?
Slider: Way Back in the days I was influenced by some Writers from Dresden, STAK, MIST or DIZE later.
I was influenced by ODEM or Can2. Today I  like to be influenced by guys like SOTEN, BATES or OMSK.

GS: Tell us what is the different between your style to other artist?
Slider: My Style is mostly classic, I love big and strong Styles, so I love to paint big, in combination
with good colors or concepts, I  like big 3D-Blocks and arrows. I think what I do is a regular
Semi-Wild-Style. Try to keep my "Handwrite" in doing letters, like a "CI", never leave my orbit
too much. Changes come between 10 or 20 Pieces, not from one Piece to another.

GS: How do you pick your locations ?
Slider: I like to paint on big walls, the size is of course
important. I also like abandoned places, but there are not so many in Dresden anymore.
When I do concepts, I like to paint on walls, where I can work over a couple of days without
the fear of being crossed or overpainted. And of course the possibility of doing good
photos of the finished wall is also not unimportant.

GS: What tools do you use?
Slider: My  favorite brand is Molotow Premium and recently also the new FLAME.
Anyway I paint with what I get or have, but these are my favorite tools. and I also like
to use Primer in strong colors, sometimes for the background, sometimes for the fill in or both.

GS: Do you pre plan your murals, or make it up as you go along?
Slider: When I do concept walls I would do a little concept on the computer, putting some stuff together,
maybe colors or character and then I make some printings and put it on the wall.

GS: Any unforgettable stories that you want to share with us?
Slider: There are too many but I am not the biggest story teller, so let the walls speak.

GS: Have you collaborated with any artists recently? Who and what work has come out of it?
Slider: I like to collaborate with Writers all the time, especially with some of them, they influencing me
or which stuff I like. So next to my Crewmates I do many collaborations on the wall with many
guys from everywhere.

GS: Have or are you joining any crews nowadays?
Slider: I represent the BANDITS, BURNING SAXONY and MACIA.

GS: Any message to other artists?
Slider: Stop hating!
