GS: What is your tag name and why did you choose it?
Skenar73: My tag name is Skenar73. In the beginning I was just taging Scenar, because it has a nice flow with it.
I changed it into Skenar73 to become more individual and it gives my pieces an even better flow than before. The number 73 has a special meaning to me.

GS: How and why did you get into street art(graffiti)?
Skenar73: I started when I was very young and all of my friends did it aswell. I started illegal as almost everybody does. I just loved the kick it gave me.

GS: How would you describe your style?
Skenar73: Very edged, fast and versatile.

GS: Where did you begin making art in the streets and how old were you?
Skenar73: As I said I was very young and I started in my hometown, specially in the eastern parts of Berlin.

GS: What crew(s) are you in?
Skenar73: OSK Crew, Buddys Team

GS: How did you develop such good technical painting and drawing skills?
Skenar73: Experience over the years. We had nobody that was able to teach us how to get better, back in the day.

GS: what the most difficult thing in graffiti do you think?
Skenar73: To find your own unique style and to develop that special style.

GS: What are some of the writers who have inspired you.
Skenar73: Odem, Phos4, Masoe, Smash and the friends I started with of course.
GS: How do you pick your locations ?
Skenar73: I prefer abandoned areas because they have in germany a special atmosphere and you never know what you´ll get next.
GS: What tools do you use ? Only spray paint?
Skenar73: On the walls only spray paint, brushes and paint rollers.

GS: Do you pre plan your murals, or make it up as you go along?
Skenar73: Of course I plan it. Especially for big murals it is very important to have a concept. But my normal pieces are always freestyle.
GS: Would you like to share some tips and tricks?
Skenar73: As I said when I started we had nobody that could show us any tricks. But nowadays it is easier to become good in what you want to do.
One way to become better besides alot of practice is reading instructions. One example of a good instruction is the Graffiti School book
wich is a Student Guide with Teacher's Manual by Chris Ganter

GS: Any unforgettable story that you would like to share with us?
Skenar73: None in particular but as many of you know you´ll experience alot of fun situations during the years.
GS: Have you collaborated with any artists recently? Who and what work has come out of it?
Skenar73: I work with a lot of other artists, doing walls, murals, canvases. Really, a lot. Right now, Im working on a exhibition with some other friends,
so we are working on everything that comes with it.
GS: Any message to other artists?
Skenar73: "Love what you do and do what you love...!" (Semor the mad one)
